We're modernizing and adding on to an old 1950"s "shack". We now have some floors on footings, and the addition on slab. We have gone with an 8 piece pattern Travertine for kitchen / familyroom which butts up to the old wood flooring in the dining room, etc. We need to do something with the ugly, yellowy, old oak floors. At first I thought bleaching might look good. Now I'm thinking a darker stain would be easiest and look better. Any thoughts on the best way to blend these 2 types of flooring?
