I know some people in the Rochester area have found the apricot sprite to be perennial for them. So you might want to pop them in ground around Oct 1st to try and savee tem. They sure are pretty.

Agastaches need a period of 4 months to get established in the garden in order to survive our cold winters. I have 4 Apricot Sprites in ground right now that have wintered over here in the Niagara Falls area. They will survive inside over the winter but they are usually very stressed. If you are considering planting it out I suggest strongly to do it now so it has a better chance of getting established. If you wait until October it will in all probability be too late. I lost an Agastache Cana 'Tutti Fruti' and a 'Firebird' last year by planting it out in September and they are both hardy Agastaches rated for zone 6.

Agastaches need very good drainage especially over the winter. Plant in a raised bed if possible and if your soil is heavy or holds water, mix in some pea gravel with the soil for much better drainage.

If you plant Apricot Sprite out now and it has enough time to get established, there is a very good chance that you will get reseeders come spring. Even though I thought I was being very good about collecting the seed, I had several reseeders this spring.
