I like to do an accent space or wall in a vibrant wallpaper and take all of the colors from it to use in adjacent spaces, giving a home a flow of colors that make sense to the eye. You could do the same with a prominent piece of art. You just have to fall in love with something as your inspiration, then adhere to your colors for a cohesive look.

Don't let the excitement of decorating a nursery send you in too juvenile a direction that you'll soon enough regret -- remember to go with colors that will grow with your family, and put all of the fun and cuteness into your nursery accesories. Have fun!
