I am trying to find a source of seeds for a tomato called Valiant. If you can help i would be able to make someone very happy!! my friend remembers it fondly from his youth, we could see how good it is!!!

Susan, I didn't bother to do a Google search b'c I'm pretty sure that Sandhill Preservation lists the seed. Please note at their website when you can and can't order seeds.

Growing up on the farm we grew Valiant and New Yorker and Break O Day and similar ones back in the 40's/

It's a typical globe shaped fruit, quite similar to Rutgers or Wisconsin 55 and to others of that type/ And of that type I think Break O Day would be my favoite re taste and production.

But it's always fun to reunite someone with a variety they remembered from long ago. I once did that via SSE serving as an intermediary and as thanks received two dozen yellow roses from this newly retired Texan who was a piloit for one of the major airlines. ( smile)
