This weed is growing around our Monterey Pine stump, which was newly created last fall when the 80ft tree was cut down. It doesn't look like anything the tree and remember vaguely that this weed also appeared before the tree was cut, so it would be something else.

The leaves are longish and the bottom part of the stem is red.

Any idea what it is?
