Maybe some kind of Mullein for the top two?

I'd say the top two are Common Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis) Go ahead and let it bloom to make sure. It is a host plant for the white-lined sphinx moth, BTW. It's actually a nice plant if you don't mind weeding out lots of babies, or don't mind dead-heading.

Middle ones: I have something spreading that looks like it-I don't know what it is yet, but I'm pretty sure it's one of the weedier asters.

Bottom looks like Fleabane, Erigeron sp.

Sorry if this answer comes too late (or is wrong!!), I just had time to start going back through the forum questions. Actually, I don't have time, I should be cleaning the house! And now I realize I should be checking out the Butterfly forum, too!!

I think dbs_illinois_4 nailed them (primrose, weedy asters, fleabane). I started with one O. biennis, then the goldfinches provided me with loads more the following year. They just love that plant. I simply remove the ones I don't want, which seems to be getting more dedious every year, LOL...
