dirty weeds

My husband pulls weeds by hand, making small piles as he goes, this is about 1/4 of an acre. He is looking for the machine that you can throw the weeds in, then turn it, and it supposedly removes the dirt clumps, making the piles much lighter when picking up the piles. Has anyone ever heard of this machine>

I would imagine most people just bash the weeds on the fork or other tool to get the soil off. That's what I do and it is basically an integral part of the hand weeding process. You want as much a soil as possible to stay in situ so putting the weeds into a machine would be removing soil form that particular place and would make more work to then return it whence it came.
