How much experience have you had with growing tomatoes, if I may ask?

One year I put down some Miracle-Gro, but the only thing I regularly use is Compost Tea, every three weeks.

It is late in the tomato growing season for zone 7 and your plants are just now blooming? Were they planted especially late? But then I thought Long Island was zone 5 so I may be way off base. ;)

im actually in the zone 7a of long island, near JFK. the ocean keeps the area mild in winter.

i just found out, that long island got hit rather hard with early and late blight, so it just isn't my tomatoes.

My dad is planting out in East Hampton - he had the same thing last month. I gave them a dose of 3-10-3 liquid fertilizer - thought he needed phosphorus (it's a rooting fertilizer the only one I could find with low N and high P. He now has around 15 huge caspian pinks on the vine. Lots more coming and the other plants are fruiting as well. It's worth a shot. I also watered with the compost Great Big Tomatoes.
