Ah, to be a young adult again...you have a wonderful life ahead of you, especially because you are smart enough to use resources! My ideas include: 1.) Joss & Main 2.) One Kings Lane 3.) Horchow 4.) Tuesday Morning ... be patient, look for great bargains on high quality items, you don't want to have cheap material or cheap fillers, you always pay the price somehow. Another option is for you to visit your local dry cleaner that does tailoring. Ask if they sew straight lined items such as bedding. They can be very reasonably priced and then you get to choose your own material, pros at your fabric store will be happy to tell you what choices there are for bedding. If you don't have a lot of money, I suggest you go to IKEA and get the white comforter (that washes like a dream), white sheets (not from IKEA), white blanket (T.J. Max), and add whatever color you want. There is something about waking up to a white on white experience each morning that is so refreshing. The color can come from art and whatever else you wish to place in the room. When your budget becomes "Big Girl", then you can shop all the designers and have a great time.
