Congratulations on planning a multi-generational house!

Some questions:
--Are corridors, doors and toilets all dimensioned to be accessible (toilet does not look capable of a 5' dia wheelchair access;
--Any tubs in the house (hard to read toilet plans;

Appears to be a lot of dedicated corridor space, reducing plan efficiency. I can't figure out the circulation and all the doors from MBR to dressing and toilet. Seems you have 3 doors when 1 would suffice.

The dashed lines make the plan hard to read.

1. All doors and doorways are handicapped accessible along with bathroom area in parents' wing.
2. No tub on the main level. For parents' shower, we were thinking of having just a small lip so wheelchair could go into shower. Planning on tub/shower combo in lower level once finished so at least there would be a tub in the house.
3. Agree about the dedicated corridor space, however, not sure how to fix. Would like parents' wing a bit separated but not lose too much efficiency with corridors. Any suggestions?
4. Agree about # of doors in MBR and bath area. I could eliminate door from hall into laundry but would then not have access to a laundry without going through a bedroom. Fine by me, but not sure about re-sale. I could also eliminate door going into closet and just have an opening. It seems like there is a better way to configure my bathroom, closet, and laundry area but not sure how to do it.

Maybe you could frame in a door between the laundry and hallway, then drywall over it, so it'll be easy to add later if you decide you need it?

I am not understanding how the bathroom in your parents wing is wheelchair assessable. The distance between the doorway and the vanity is not much deeper than the width of the door. Once you enter the room, it does not look like there is enough room make a left turn in a wheelchair. Plus, you need to be able to close the door behind you (as well as the pocket door?)

Thanks for your comments zone4newby and dekeoboe! Distance between doorway to vanity in parents' bath area is almost 5' (I am using 3' ft doors). Based on some info I read, I think that is enough....but will definately double-check. Thanks again!!
