White Bird Buffet

This is what I came up with after the bunnies were packed away. It's kinda of plain for me, but I like it for a change. I got the bird trio feed at Tuesday Mornings a week or so ago. I made a trip in to the city, which I don't do very often. The little birds on the lamps I got at the Arkansas Flower and Garden show, they were already painted and were only 50 cents. That's also were I got the reindeer moss.

Your buffet is just the right wood color to carry the white off beautifully.
Very nice job! and great finds at the GardenShow.
I ove the birdies on the moss with the little "trees" behind them. A nice balance indeed.

Very pretty. The simple white birds with the reindeer moss work well together!

Lovely! That reindeer moss is the perfect addition to your setting. I really like everything you did. Little birds are a favorite of mine, they look so good in most any setting. And yours is wonderful.

Oh Syble, this is great. I know it's not what I normally see from you but you have a wonderful new look. I love it that you even put two little birdies on the top. The moss adds nice color to this display.

What's on top of your lamps? The candle sticks look so nice and add elegance to your bird collection. I really like the little cups in the back of your scene too.

You have alot of nice birds and what a buy on some!

Syble..this is so pretty and tranquil looking.
The white birds with the soft green accents are such a nice combination, and the reindeer moss sets it off nicely.
Funny, I put a white bird under one of my cloches on the front hall buffet..it was something different for me too..
Seems we're thinking along the same lines for 'Spring' !

I forgot to ask, where did you find those neat candle trees? I saw one on shopgoodwill.com recently, similar tho a bit taller. Darn thing had a lot of bidders and went for around $25 plus shipping. It would have been great for holidays.

Thanks ya'll, this is different from what I usually post, but sort of the way I used to decorate this buffet before I found the forum. It is in the sunroom/dining room and the colors are all ivory and soft moss green. I have lots of white matte pottery in there. Punk, those are white silk hydrangas on top of the lamps, it's hard to see in the pics, but they look good in real life, and the cups are really candle sticks too. Karen, I got those candle trees several years back at Big Lots for little or nothing, I've almost put them in a garage sale numerous times. I have sold tons of stuff at garage sales over the years. I'm glad I held on to those.

Syble, the hydrangas look good in the pictures so I'm sure they look even better in real life. I sure wish my hydrangas I plant would make it. I love how they look when dried. I guess I could buy silk too.LOL

Love the lamps on your gorgeous buffet...the bases especially & shades...the simplicity of using 2 colors gives everything a soothing effect...pretty, frou! Never heard of reindeer moss??? TFS! Jeanne S.

Very serene looking, Frou. I love all your little birds, and the moss looks so neat and adds just the right softness and color. Luvs

Beautiful, Syble - birds, moss, and hydrangeas, some of my fav things - wonderful and restful! Birds, to me are like bunnies, I could collect them sooo easily. I only have a couple of birds that are now green but I almost painted them white and may do so after seeing yours. The little cream 'cup' vases are very cute. TFS I like to do simpler arrangements sometimes too. Nice change from more-is-more.
