Since I've decided to make a couple of electrical changes, and I notice I've put a join in the drywall directly above a doorframe edge (I am told this will be more likely to cause cracking in the mud/taping) so I am going to remove/replace this section of as-yet untaped/mudded section of wall (less than 4')

When I put this up (it's an internal wall with a lot of plumbing and electrical in it) I put a plastic moisture/air barrier in (although it's an internal wall) because...well I could, also there's a cutout for the medicine cabinet and I thought it'd be good to have something in there behind for moisture.

I am going to tile this wall and possibly use Kerdi or the rubberised paint-on compound, and am wondering if the moisture barrier underneath could potentially cause trouble, as I am effectively sealing in the blue drywall in that section. Should I remove the plastic? It's not going to be a very wet area, although there will be a vanity with sink there with a solid sink, so no splashback per se, which is why I decided to tile it. I am therefore not anticipating a lot of moisture there, although the wall runs to the door, which is adjacent to the shower, turns a corner and then the shower is set into that wall so there will be moisture nearby, and there will be a wall thickness to adhere to.

Should I remove the plastic, or leave it and just get on with it? My wife would really like it finished :")
