No problem here. We have had the elongated bowls for years.
Just haven't noticed a problem.

We installed an elongated Toto Soiree in our master bathroom just a few weeks ago and have not experienced this problem at all.

I noticed that the bottom of my Toto gets more spots and has to be cleaned more often than my old toilet. I think what you are seeing is the spray from the forcefulness of the flush.

Slightly OT, but how do you all like the Soiree otherwise (flush? bowl wash? noise level?). It's on our short list.

I dunno... every time men & toilets come in, some [often rather strident] women insist that men should be 'trained' to sit...

So I want to take this opportunity to suggest the ladies try standing.

I had a short term job as a commercial cleaner. Men didn't seem able to contain their urine to the urinal. They hit the walls on either side and always on the floor. I had four males in my home. None of them had problems with the old fashioned round toilet. (Had to get that off my chest.)

Elongated or not, I just wish the males in my house would put the toilet seats back down!

I do get urine drops on my rim at times. I know it is not water, because of the color (I take too many supplements!). I don’t know if the drips bounce up from the bowl, or slide down from a very weak dribble. But they are there sometimes. And on the underside of the seat.
