I used an Onyx shower base in our last house. It was dang heavy, but it went in well, worked fine, and was easy to keep clean.

Anyway, I am nearing the point that I will be ordering our onyx shower base. That is one of the only few options we had since it is a custom size and I too hate tile and grout on a shower floor. We should be ordering it in about 2 weeks and the lead time we were told is 3 weeks so maybe I will have an answer for you in about 6 weeks.

We had SnowSwirl installed spring of '22 and it is yellowing (should be white-on-white) horribly. I understand that color has been discontinued. I also read somewhere that the white yellowed, too. I see they still offer that color, so wondering if they improved it so it doesn't yellow? I know it is guaranteed, but a bit shy of wanting to go through another installation, even though it is just our tub surround (but the corner cubby and crown Moulding are yellowing, too. And, no, it's not rust as it goes up to the ceiling. I should add that I do think it's an easy maintenance option, though.

It's just a low quality resin cultured marble product. They all eventually yellow. You can find the same thing locally for half the price.
