Well I'll be darned, I thought I was the only one having this problem & even when I turn ON the Pop-up Blocker! I can't stand it either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always get that one that floats across the screen. Drives me crazy!!!

Install AdBlock with your Firefox and follow the instructions to load in the offending sites and you will never see ads again. I'm not sure that you have Firefox, as the current version is 2.0.0.6., not 5.0.

If you indeed have firefox, you will really become a fan of it if you install adblock and noscript.

The pop-ups are paying to keep this site up and running. Would you prefer access by paid subscription only? I do not enjoy the pop-ups either.

I agree that pop-ups are horribly annoying. I understand that the web site needs advertisers to pay the bills, but they do not need to be animated pop ups that dominate the entire screen and make horrible noises (remember that terrible termite one that made camera noises???). And yes....I would be MORE than happy to pay a fee to have no advertising.

The moving ones give me a target to shoot at-like a shooting gallery!!-LOL

I'm using Opera and have no pop ups at all. Go figure.

No pop-ups with Safari either.
