Has anyone used Rub & Buff from Michaels? It is a tube and you put a bit of the silvery paste on your finger and rub it on a frame, metal, wood... to give it a hand-rubbed silvery patina.

I used it on some cabinet hinges today. The hinges were the right fit but slightly less pewter looking than I wanted. I have not been able (anywhere) to find the right fit / color combination.

Does anyone know if this stuff will finally dry? It seems to rub off too easy. It is only 5 cabinet doors on some den built-ins so they will not be getting lots of use and we certainly won't be touching the hinges often. I was just curious as to the product. It seems like a nice product to use on some other items I have but not if it might continue to always rub off on you.
