Heat management

Greetings,

I have an old cone fireplace in the living room of a small cottage in northern Michigan. The normal furnace is a radiant, through the wall, natural gas setup that warms the living room from one side and the kitchen from the other. The thermostat for the furnace is in the living room. When the fireplace is used, the furnace doesn't come on because the room is warm and thus the kitchen is cool. If I relocate the thermostat to the kitchen, the living room would get very warm.

I would like to duct the flue heat to the kitchen by some means, like a fan, but haven't seen the right device. Heatilator, I believe, used to have a product that mounted in the direct vent stack. There were a series of tubes that the flue heat would pass, warming the air inside of these tubes. A fan was at one end of the tubes and would blow this warmed air into the room.

I have checked their website and have not seen this product. Does this device exist, or is there an alternative way to share the warmth?

Thank you.
