Sounds good but I'm not familar with the pricing on that style of sofa. I suggest you get a price from Lexington Furniture, Boyles, and/or Beautiful Rooms. If the price you've been quoted is near or better than those prices then you've done well. You can also ask the store for the suggested retail price. I would say if you are 50% or below that price you're doing well. Keep in mind you need to find out what class of leather is on the sofa you are thinking of purchasing. The prices vary depending upon the class of leather.

Thanks for the information. The store has a MSRP of $5k, and the leather is Grade 2. Is that a good quality grade?

Others know better than I, but for H&M there are 4 classes with class 4 being the most expensive. If you check H&M's website you can see the characteristics of the particular leather at issue if you know the name. I'm not sure any of them are "bad". That being said most buy class 2.
