How much space does one need to allow from the wall onto which a bi-fold door will open to where you have clearance to pull out a drawer?

I have just over 36" wall to wall to be covered with one bifold pair - and I want to get a couple of Container Store pull out drawer units. They total 32". Is 4" enough for the door and whatever hardware would be needed for it to fold against the wall and allow me to pull out the drawers?
