Well, the square design allows more hinge behind, and that's a great idea. But, I like a round door with the round opening on front loaders a bit better. Each to their own.

Nah, triangular doors are where it's at now...

The pedestals hold three bins of detergent or fabric softener, enough to last 1/2 a year so you don't have to add them with every load. The machine draws more or less detergent from the tanks depending on need.

Myself, i think GE must have got some bargain prices on leftover Mazda RX-8 parts and found a way to work them into their new appliances...
