new master suite color help

A little history first: We are adding onto our home and adding a master suite. We are turing our current BR into 1) a dressing room and 2)the hallway that leads to our new bedroom. The new hallway will connect to our current upstairs hallway but have a door. The new BR as well as the dressing room and hallway consists of hardwood floors which I will use area rugs on (we live up north and need some rugs for the cold winter months).

The question: Our new BR/dressing/master bath room are in raspberry red shades w/ gold and off white. The upstairs hallway is painted yellow with a light blue and white lattice work carpet. Should I try to bring all those colors together in the master suite hallway i.e. an oriental runner with raspberry, tan and light blue or just go with the colors in the master BR to unify the suite: BR, dressing room (open to the new hallway with no door), the master bathroom (White, tan and raspberry) and the BR. I don't know if I can treat this hallway as a separate entity or if I should try to tie in the hallway next to it. My wish would be to stay with the bedroom colorscheme as I don't want to introduce blue as I'd like to have some grren accents with the red. What do you think??? How important is it to tie bedrroms into the hallway colors?
