The floor mat people usually provide their own floor mats.

You could try washing/spraying it with a garden hose, or if you had a pressure washer.

Or take it along to one of those self-service car washes (if you can find one like that) where you manually spray wash the areas of your car with their hand-held pressure hose.

What a good idea! I vacuum mine and sometimes I take them outside and rinse them, but I never thought about the manual car wash.

I usually wet mine down with a garden hose, sprinkle some tide he powder detergent on them, scrub them with a soft bristled brush, let them sit in the sunlight to heat them up, agitate with the brush, then rinse with the garden hose. They come out looking like new.

Simple Green, a hose, and an old car wash brush do the trick for us. No Tide in our garden, thanks.

Washing floor mats (house and car), litter boxes, window screens, protective grids on room fans, and plastic storage boxes is how I use up all the natural or green laundry detergent products I try that don't really work very well for washing clothes. In the case of of rugs, I just vac 'em, douse them with water and then scrub and rinse with a presuure washer. It's easiest to do this on a paved driveway, but the lawn works too, as long as you don't have too much dry grass clippings floating about on top. Hang to dry.

BTW, even if you were inclined to do so, washing the plastic/rubber backed ribbed polypropylene floor/door wats in commercial laundramats is NOT a good idea. Very hard on the mats and really mean to the next user who will have to deal with all the left over gunk.
