GE FL Damp Alert

I've had a GE FL washer/Dryer for a year and a half. Have had no issues with them until now. I noticed that on the dryer when I select damp alert the button lights up, but no alert is given. Is there some trick to mke it work or is something wrong with my dryer? Anyone else have the same problem?
