I have two 33x36 corner cabinets - one with a lazy susan and one without. I find both are fine. My designer said the 33x33 would be too small to be usable. Is this something that might work in your space? It worked very nicely for me.

We had a 33" door at our old beach house and I really didn't like it. I guess it's ok if you just use it for canned goods. That's what we did. The 33 x 36 like Teresa's sounds like a good idea. I took the super susan out of our new kitchen at home with this remodel because it made the adjacent drawer bases too small. For me, it was worth the trade off though I have to say that the old super susan served us very well.

I have two 36" corner supersusans and one 33" x 36" "Plain" corner cabinet with a shelf. I didn't get the supersusan in the 33"X36" cabinet because I thought it would be a waste of $$ to put a supersusan in it and it would not be that functional. Yes, the door on the 33" is smaller, but I do put A LOT of stuff in there (mixing bowls, measuring cups, baking dishes).

I got the 33"X36" SS to center my sink with the window and also fit my DW in.

Sometimes we have to make decisions that might not be the "right" way to so something, but it's the best way for the situation.

I would prefer not having your range right next to your door and going with the 33" cabinet. I would prefer that over a blind cabinet. JMHO.

Well, what are your other options? In my MN kitchen, they told me the exact same thing about a 33x33 lazy susan cab. The KD said the door would be too small to be functional. He specifically said I wouldn't be able to "get my shoulders in there" (?! whatever!). Of course, I ignored that silly shoulders-in-the-cab notion and put a 33x33 in anyway. It worked just fine and I loved it. I did NOT ever need to fit my whole body inside and I never lost anything in the back.

It was the only cab in between my sink and my stove (see below). I used the susan cab daily - it held my mixing bowls, small appliances (food processor, hand mixers, etc), larger tupperware and pitchers. I never found the opening to be too small or too inconvenient, and I never had a problem putting things in or getting things out. I did have two doors (hinged on either side of the cabinet and opening in the middle rather than the usual door that hinges together in the middle), so that may have made a difference. But FWIW, if I had to choose between a 33" lazy susan and a blind corner cab, I'd choose the susan every time.
