front loaders with higher drums

Is there a brand of front loader out there that has a higher drum than most brands,i.e., LG, Sears, etc.? I ask because DH put washer/dryer hookups for our alternate garage machines (these are for washing animal bedding only) right by a normal window so if I get pedestals (which I need for my back), the machines will be blocking some of the window. This will make me crazy just from an esthetic point of view. Men, you need to watch what they do at all times. LOL

Another consideration is that instead of the pedestal, I would have him build a shorter platform for the machines to sit on. They would still be up high enough so I wouldn't have to strain to reach into them. The vibration factor bothers me with this alternative. I think I remember a couple of people who had home made stands and would like to know how they work for vibration. It wouldn't matter if they make noise, I would just be concerned with them being stable.

Thanks for your help.
