Looking For Nice Laundry Sink

I am in the process of planning a new home and I am a bit overwhelmed by the selection process. We will be having a laundry room right off the kitchen so I don't want a true large laundry tub. I would be interested in a nicer porcelain laundry sink. I have a small toy poodle who would also be bathed here so it will need to be a bit deeper than a regular sink. Anyone know of a sink brand that fits that description? Thanks in advance!

Just thought I would bump this up and see if there are any takers

I didn't like the cheapie laundry tubs, either, so what I did was buy a stainless steel sink from an Ebay seller, 10 inches deep and 31 inches wide, and used that. it was about $100 including shipping and looks great. Then I went into Home Depot or Lowe's, forget which, and saw the exact same sink for $79. It was deep and wide with a single bowl and perfect for a laundry room. I just did 20 gauge stainless steel since it was a laundry sink.

Kohler makes great laundry sinks...we have one in our laundry room that suffices for many uses owed to its depth.

You may also want to look into Fireclay (from various manufacturers including Kohler and Franke).

Now please excuse my while I go measure our Havanese for his sink. Any suggestions on how to get him to stay in it while the snow that's sticking to his hair melts?

LOL chipshot about the dog! My toy poodle hates the winter here. I have to shovel the snow and he runs out does number #1 then runs in to warm up. Then I have to send him back out for #2. At least your dog is having fun in the snow!

What is fireclay? Is that a material?

I got a stainless steel sink at IKEA and some "kitchen" cabinetry for it to drop into. I like the way it looks and the extra storage is great too! They even have inexpensive laminate countertops.

"What is fireclay? Is that a material?"

Yes. It's a very nice (and practical) material. That said, I'm inclined to go with either stainless to match our kitchen or Kohler's cast iron to match two of our bathtubs.

I'm spending too much money on what I hope will be a very nice laundry room sink. It is made by Aquatic and is called The Delicair I.

I justified the splurge b/c I save a lot of money buying a Ticor SS sink for the kitchen.

I have a deep double cast iron sink that sits on metal legs. I let the washer drain into one side of the sink, and I use the other side for laundry tasks and everything else you can think of. I am glad to see Kohler still makes a cast iron sink.

I like the concept of the laundry sink with the jets.. kind of like a jacuzzi...but I guess you have to want to do a lot of hand washing to get the full potential from this sink. Hand washing...something I am not interested in.

We are in the process of building a new home and here is a link with an "all in one" laundry sink with cabinet and faucet from Lowes. The sink is ABS, which is a plastic (I believe) which shines (line enamal or procelain). I'm putting this sink in my laundry room and in the powder room in the garage. It isn't too expensive. There is another model that comes with a stainless steel sink and the cabinet is stained wood.

    Chipshot,
Any pics of your Havanese? I have three myself. I live in Florida so they don't get to see snow, but they LOVE it when it gets cold. So much for their tropical beginnings, huh?
Oh, and to keep it on topic, I second the suggestion for the Kohler sinks. I am getting the Glen Falls model. I believe it will be big enough for my small dogs.

Link to pic below. Our Havanese loves just about everything.

Our builder has suggested a stainless sink for our laundry room, cautioning that a glazed sink may show wear more quickly. Kohler's stainless utlity sinks are so expensive! I think we'll need to go with Elkay or similar in order to try to stay on budget.

Try to find the American Standard Lakeland 33in sink

It's a composite that is deep with the drain in the corner.
Lowes used to sell this with a 2nd sink bowl (removable).

    It's 33inch and fits in a std 36in cabinet.

We have it and it's great. we remodeled a couple of years ago and added a real laundry room space. I can even put a cookie sheet in it to soak. I originally wanted a dual-bowl but this is the better way to go. More importantly my wife likes it
