tiny bathroom need help!

I have a tiny bathroom with only a toilet and pedistal sink. If you also have a small bathroom like this, could you please post a pic so I can get some decorating ideas. THANKS!

Can't post a picture, but definitely have a miniscule BR. When I moved in here in July, I had to scrap the existing toilet, put in a cute little wall hung new sink (the orig. was so big you couldn't use the toilet without nudging the sink), and stripped all the $*%(*# old plastic tile off the walls, the awful tub surround and worse flooring. I now have a really nice new floor (sheet vinyl, but a beautiful one that looks like desert sand and matches the outer hallway), a new tub surround, and have otherwise left the tub alone. I put in 'paintable' wallpaper with a little swirly-ish pattern and painted the whole thing (a lighter tone on the top half) and added my own shower curtain and very 'plain' (but nice and new) med. cabinet. It's all very simple and clean now, and at least I don't collide with the sink anymore! The trick is to go 'minimal' of course, but then I live alone and don't have to please anyone else. I do have a very large linen closet (shelving in a cupboard) right outside, so only have a little shelf beside the sink for a cup, tissues, etc. A vanity wouldn't fit - or I know I wouldn't want to try!

Our Powder Room is roughly 4 x 6, but irregular shaped. We updated it a year ago and replaced the pedistal sink so there would be some storage available. Before and after photos are linked from "My Page"

If you look on the bath forum there is currently a post with a title something like "copycat ming green bathroom." It's a powder room and it's GORGEOUS.

Here's another one I'm linking to below - another absolutely gorgeous powder room that they made out of an old closet.

One of the nice things about a tiny powder room is that you can splurge on some stunning materials because it doesn't take much. I'm still jealous that i can't afford something similar in my 10x11 bath. Wah.

Anyway those are two stunning examples.

We have a teensy powder room (4x5, tops), and it had a toilet and tiny pedestal sink. Wanting some storage, we replaced the sink with a diminutive vanity (I think it's only 21" deep, and has a miniature sized undermount sink).

As you can see from the wallpaper, we don't subscribe to the rule that small spaces need light colors.

    Callaloo-
love your bathroom vanity....where did you find it?

We got the vanity at Expo Design Center. It's semi-custom -- one of their vendors (Strasser) offers a range of designs, sizes, door styles, stains, counter materials and even sink sizes (I chose the itty bitty one). It took about 3 weeks from ordering to delivery.

We'd hoped to find an antique nightstand or table and add a sink, but could find nothing that met our peculiar size needs.

For a very small bath, I think luxurious materials and dramatic design are the way to go!

What do you have in there now that you want to keep?

Have you looked at the Bathrooms thread in the Gallery?
