Laminate Counters - Where did you get yours?

I'm wondering if we should check someplace other than the big box stores (HD and Lowes) for laminate counters. They'll be a custom order, but self-install.

Check with local cabinet makers, with lumberyards (esp. those with kitchen/bath centers), and with local carpenters. Also, the last time I was in Lowe's, I took note of the local firm that fabricated the counters for them. The name was right up on the board that held all those little sample chips! Good luck with your project.
