we lurked and got lots of great ideas from this forum for our addition and kitchen remodel. Based on positive feedback here, we purchased our Kraftmaid cabinets from buycabinets.com. Received cabinets in November, and couldnt have been more pleased. Everything was delivered exactly as ordered, no damage whatsoever, etc, and decent customer service if you knew exactly what you wanted.

We think we saved around $2000 vs. purchasing at Home Depot on ~$15K worth of cabinets, certainly worth the extra legwork required.

However be forewarned that we just received legal notice of Chapter 7 bankruptcy at buycabinets.com. Court filing date was 2/9/09. We are okay, we have our cabinets. But since they require 100% payment upfront, this could be risky for customers with pending deliveries, or new customers. Be careful!
