pickled maple cabinets deep need of help!

We have put in a new kitchen but I want to re-purpose the old cabinets which are beautifully made and perfect except very ugly. I will use them in the laundry room but what can I do to yellowy/pink maple cabinets to make them look great? Gel stain perhaps? Any help would be huge!!! Thanks.
