You have an interesting, quiet thing going. I would stick with it and purchase a series of prints in black and white. Honestly, I would have the built-in bookcase removed, install drywall and put the piano on that wall. Then I would build-in the entire TV wall to house TV with doored storage beneath bookshelves
The piano wall could become more exciting with a stencil. Try something like the drum fixture below to replace the fan and ceiling fixture. Get some color and pattern going with a rug to pickup on your window treatment blue/green. Replace the mirror over the piano with a wonderful piece of art. Hang mirrors where they reflect something interesting or beautiful and add accessories, more lamps, and move your clock to the dining room so you can see it through the arched doors. To me, your room is having a proportion problem. The tv console and trunk are large and the white chairs small. I would move the too small white chairs to either side of the tv, at an angle facing in, with art above them. Then either get a second sofa or two recliners to fill the space of the white chairs.

The trunk looks more like the height of a side table, and since you have so many right angles may I suggest a round coffee table?

I never thought about the right angles. I do have an oval coffee table that matches the side table between the chairs. I love the black and white art work idea. I'd love to have built ins but its just not in my budget right now. Definitely on the wish list! Thanks everyone!!
