flux questions

I'm roughing in a baseboard radiator loop (slantfin 3/4, since it was readily availble). First "big" job for me, and I finally upgraded to a MAPP/Propane torch as a new toy.

Loop won't get tied into the boiler for a few days at least, so what kind of flux will minimize the corrosive effects inside? They say to fill with water as soon as possible to minimize corrosion.

Can I use Utility Paste Soldering Flux "self-cleaning", though I'll clean anyway (on the male end only, per Lazypup's advice) and be fine for a while, along with acid core solder that I have?

How about using Oatey lead free tinning flux along with the acid core?

Anything I should use instead?

Thanks.
