Need help with colors for my kitchen. I have wood cabinets and will be putting in a hardwood floor in a similar color. I don’t want it to be all brown since my adjoining living room has a brown rug and brown furniture. I just put in wanes coating on the bottom – it will be painted white. Purchased all new stainless steel appliances which will be coming soon. Added new silver handles on the cabinets. My thoughts were painting the wall behind the cabinets a dark gray (you can see a sampled above the kitchen sink). I added a black shelf on one wall. Would like to add a finishing edge border at the top of the cabinets. Was going to do the other walls in the kitchen going into the living room in a light gray – one that would stand out against the white windows. Not sure if I should go blue gray, beige gray or green gray. I did add tile to my bay window which turned out really nice – tiles in glass – black, gray, beige, brown and white stone. I painted the wood stools black – has natural wicker seats. Thought I should maybe paint the table legs black or white so it’s not so brown. My big dilemma is, should I paint the cabinets, and if so what color? I’d like to put in a granite black countertop with specks of gray. I do like the dark countertops. Would also like to add a small touch of color and thought something bright like orange. Need some sort of window treatment and I’ve never been good at that. If you can please add your suggestions I would really appreciate it.
