I don't have any ideas for the floor, but here's what I'd suggest for consideration later if you decide to re model, as I used to have a kitchen that shape in the old house.
What I did was to get rid of the peninsular and put the equivalent base and wall units against the sink wall, as I was tired of wizzing around the peninsular.
If it were me, I think I'd swap the fridge freezer onto the end of that run too and have the kitchen units on the end of the cooker run. This would help to iron out the wall cupboard lines which, at the moment, are the same shape as a castle top. I think I'd also move the cooker over to the left to make space for another door in the base units to give access to that corner which is currently unusable.

I also want to ask please, would an interior designer take a small project? is it the same as interior decorator? It is a small house, and for now I don't have much budget. But I would love to have ideas for how it would look so whenever I have some money to work on one of the areas in the house I know it will go well with the final look. I very much like your cabinets, I wouldn't rush to do anything there, either. Unify your appliances, you have some stainless going, just make sure everything matches (hood fan, fridge).

Thank you olldbob, I checked the link for the wood look porcelain tiles and wondered what color you think will go well with the cabinets and a white wall (I am planning to paint white, any other ideas!). In real the kitchen cabinets look darker than in the picture. Thanks in advance

Are the cabinets painted now?

The cabinets do look painted, maybe a terra cotta or dark brown? Dark floors are a nightmare to keep looking clean. I would suggest going no darker than a medium brown, and the lighter the better :))

I would suggest you order the 5 free samples in the colors that appeal to you. What color your cabinets appear on my monitor may not be the actual color. My samples arrived the next day, I'm in California.

@princess69 - in answer to your questions: 1) linoleum would be a great choice, durable easy to clean and comes in lots of colors. My favorite brand is Marmoleum from Forbo. Some of their patterns come in squares others in sheet. You might feel confident installing squares yourself and you could do a fun pattern with 2 or more colors. I think the other posters idea of the wood look porcelain tile is good, just take into consideration the facts that if you drop items like dishes on the porcelain that they are not likely to survive. Additionally, tile can be both cold and a sound reverberator. Last, installing tile yourself if you are not experiences is not recommended. 2) working with a professional designer will save you time, money and heartache. Different designers works on different types of projects ( color consulting, furnishings, kitchen and bath design, feng shue, etc.) as well as different size projects. It is just a matter of finding the right professional for you and your project. A professional can help you develope a comprehensive plan that you can 'bite off' one bit at a time which can maximize your dollars spent and minimize waste. You may find some of my articles helpful. Thoughts... It appears that cabinet space is limited, consider adding glass shelves that span the window to hold more decorative items that could save room inside of the cabinets. Make sure that they are thick enough for the span or include center supports. Change out your door hardware to a more modern style. Whatever material that you are thinking of for the dinig room, extend into the kitchen to visually expand the space. Cork or engineered hardwaood are good options.
