And another quilt

This is a quilt that I made for my sister for Christmas last year, but I didn't get a picture until this year! I still really like this one!

That is very beautiful. I really like how you twist a traditional block to give it a new look..just great.

Another gorgeous quilt. Well done Annie.

I love it!!! My head is still slow from a cold ( or maybe I'm just slow anyway LOL), so I don't recognize the pattern like Jean does.
What is the pattern name?????? And how did you quilt it????

Oh dear--you are all going to be really ticked with me--it's an original pattern designed by my design partner in Texas. I don't talk much about our little pattern company, mostly because it's not allowed, but also because we sorta stalled out this past year. I'll risk getting in trouble just this once and toot our horn a bit:

This is a variation of a block Deb named "Celina Lily" and it's a pieced interpretation of an antique applique quilt that she has. We've never been able to find the original block in any book, and the pieced version doesn't appear in any we've found either. I'll be working on the pattern for the original "Celina Lily" block next week and I'm hoping to convince Deb to let me work up a pattern for this variation as a Christmas wallhanging or table runner, too. I'm the drawing/writing part of the team--she's the business manager and we're both designers.

That is gorgeous. Please send the website of your little pattern company. You could e-mail me from my page on this forum. That would be great. Thanks if you can do it.

I just love how you take one block and use many colors and come out with a work of art.... NICE!

A very interesting pattern and the colors really pop. I think it would be a wonderful table runner.
I can't see any harm in blowing your own horn once in awhile. TFS. Jayne

That was my gut response too; there's something vibrant in how the colors pop even tho' they're not especially bright.

Beautifully colored Annie & looks really well executed. Of course, TFS.

What a beautiful quilt. I love the colours and the "controlled" scrappy look. Beth

Beth--"Controlled scrappy"--That's perfect for my style of piecing! I like a scrappy look, but do maintain control over color and fabric placement.
