Hows your memory?

Does anyone else have trouble remembering which post you have posted a reply on?

I start thinking (first mistake),"I know that I posted on at least one of these. Which one is it? I know I wanted to check for more posts on it but I can't remember the topic."

Also "That sounds like an interesting subject (click) Oh, know wonder it interests me its mine"

How many of you forget which quilt pictures you have looked at and have to check to see if you posted a wonderful reply?

Please tell me that IÂm not the only one.

I put a post-it on my computer so I won't forget this post.

Me too. Each day I have to re-read the posts I read the day before..just to check. Then hubby wants to know why I'm in here for several hours at a time! And I wonder why I don't get anything else done! lol

Oh yes! and then dh goes in at night & clears the memory so I can't even tell which ones I've read the day before.

Don't remember. Read them all unless it a swap I'm not in.

marti8a - You need your own user account on the computer. When we first moved in with DD#2 my SIL set me up with my own on his computer. I was the third account. We have Firefox and I can clear my data without affecting the other two accounts. Tool>Options>Privacy>Private data>Clear Now. Ask your DH if he'd go along with that. Then he could clear his without touching yours.

Thanks for posts it is nice to know I am not alone.
    Now I can relax.

I have a harder time with this forum than others that I'm on - it's hard because when new replies are made, the post is bumped up to the top, rather than having each of them in chronological order. If they were in posted order, it'd be much easier (for me) to make sure I've read and/or replied to every post.

That's why I tend to be bad at responding to posts here. :( *blush*

For me, I thought it had something to do with that big 5 - 0 birthday I just had. Maybe it does, but its nice to know I'm not alone.

glassquilt, I'm just lucky I get to use dh's computer. He's not wild about it at all. I have a laptop but would rather type on a PC.

    This is all so funny!
Yes, similar things frequently happen to me. I'll be reading the messages on on some old post that has gotten to the first page again (in which case I usually read them in reverse order) and I'll think, "Oh, here's someone I really agree with!" and it turns out that it is my own post and I had forgotten I ever made it. The other day I almost posted a comment again on one thread until I realized I had already done it.

I love the two animal pictures on this thread. Here's mine to show "all mixed up"!

    Or maybe this is better?

Whoa! Sorry these pictures turned out so big.

I keep meaning to have a little notebook in which I write down the threads in which I have posted and also ones that particularly interest me. But I keep forgetting to *get* a notebook, and if I had one, would I remember where I put it?

I haven't got much of a memory. I have to read everything over again because I can't even remember which ones I read never mind posted on. Colleen

Hey, people who read everything over get to enjoy it twice!

Yeah, this forum is especially bad for me, because nothing is in order.

I have so much other stuff floating around in my head that I don't even bother TRYING to remember which threads I've read anymore.

I can't remember either, think it has something to do with age!!!LOL Anyway i keep a tablet here next to me and i mark off sections for here, the cross stitch bd etc and i write down what post i responded to or ones that i want to go back and look at again.

My problem on this site is that sometimes the post i read get hilighted in pink when i read them and others don't.Does anyone know why that happens??

I think it turns red to show you have read it. Then if there is any addition to it, either your post or someone elses, it turns blue again.

I also read from the bottom up. That way I don't miss any.

I found that if I put my forum name in the search box it will come up with my (few) posts.

Bon and Rene, loved your responses LOL!!
