SW Dover White-Anybody?

Totally a different idea than my "aubergine" idea for my bedroom. Since the "aubergine" plan, I had come up with another idea, I loved it, it looked great on the BM Color Preview tool. Thought that since my dh just about died when I told him my latest plan of a dark ceiling (cathedral ceiling), and wasabi walls and weimeramer walls I thought I would go back to square one. Below is a bedroom photo from Houzz that has creams & whites. Looks soothing. Not sterile. The author of the Ideabook "guessed" that this was SW Dover White. I was thinking of pairing it with white, and cream accessories, maybe a Wasabi colored pillow or two just to bring that color upstairs.

Anybody have this SW Dover White on any walls? How does it look? Here is the inspiration photo. (I think I even found the bedding at BB&B).

(This Ideabook is right below the post that features MY kitchen in an Ideabook! I thought that was sort of cool) You can check that out if you want, I'll post a link to Houzz's main page. Not sure how long the ideabooks stay on page 1.

Here is a link that might be useful: Houzz Main Page--maybe my kitchen is still there....

I've used Dover White quite a lot, and I like it, but it's quite clearly white. That photo is darker and creamier. Maybe antique white or even iroire?

    It's a nice inspiration photo.

I don't think that is Dover White - I have it in 2 of our bedrooms and a hallway and it doesn't have enough contrast to the trim as that one does and our trim is white.

    Maybe Antique white.

I don't think that is SW Dover White either. Dover White is now my go-to trim white color (and found out it is my mother's also!)
I think that the ceilings and trim are dover white. A creamy color would be pretty on the walls for a look like this.

    beeskeeperswife.

Why not try to send her an email and see if she or someone at her company will give you the correct paint color.
    It won't hurt to try.

I have Dover White on my kitchen ceiling and it's a soft white not beige or tan.

Oh, my. Someone seems to be impersonating Bee. I'm worried. I hope the real one returns soon.

    Kitchendetective...I know. Cream. Really? Me?

My dh said last night, "oh, you should do what you want" The problem is.....I don't think I know. I just know I don't want a terracotta room any longer.

lyban--oh, I did that already. Not sure if I'll hear back or not. One time I did contact a designer and they did reveal the paint color in the photo (of course I had a sample can in the basement so I was able to try it right away) but she said that they don't generally like to share that since it was something that they did for THAT client. But she did share it and asked me to do a "good deed" for someone, sort of pay it forward kind of thing.

I will take some photos of this crazy room, and see what direction you guys think I should go. I really want the "Boutique Hotel" look. I spent hours last night looking at photos, trying to figure out what is it that makes certain rooms appeal to me, and others...not so much.

Here is my hotel room when we went to Barcelona. I like the feel of this room. My room has a cathedral ceiling with a big atrium window. My bed is a 4 poster black bed, big black headboard and footboard. So, anyway this room appeals to me.

But so does that creamy room above.....yikes, I'm lost.

Beautiful room! I could totally see it w/ a hit of Wasabi here and there.

A pillow or two on the bed.

A wasabli toned quilt turned down at the bottom of the bed.

    A throw over a chair.

Some wasabi background color in art.

The wasabi color of Lady's Mantle florets interspersed w/ creamy white roses in a mint julep cup.

    Aaaahhhhh!

SW White Hyacinth could be up that wall color alley. Super creamy, very rich. You may have to ask to see a chip.

I guarantee you did not find that bedding at BBB. It is Sferra and the duvet cover is around $1200.
