Repair or replace cooktop

We're planning on selling our house in a few months. Unfortuntely, one of the knobs on our cooktop broke and took the peg with it, so we can no longer use one of our burners. I'm not sure how old it is, but it has solid disc elements. Unfortunately, the one that broke controls a burner with a temperature gauge, so just buying the part we need online will be $115 plus shipping. It looks like entry level coil-type electric cooktops start around $250, with nice smooth-top ones starting around $550.

It seems like we have three options: Do nothing, repair it, and replace it. Part of me thinks that a potential buyer will just want to remodel the kitchen and won't care if a knob is broken. Another part of me thinks that buyers would rather see a new cooktop, even if it's inexpensive.

What do other people think?
