Did you try goo gone? It may work.

I think acetone would work - just check your fabric for colorfastness first! Sometimes heat from a hair dryer will work, but may leave a little residual. Hope you get it off!

Goo Gone is my suggestion too. When I was little my Mama used peanut-butter to get sticky stuff (my brother or his friends put in) out of my hair. then she washed my hair, all better.

Daddy's Mom, Granny Rachel, used kerosene to get sticky stuff off anything, then just washed it to get rid of the kerosene.

I like Goo Gone from the local ???Mart. I have to use it on my DH's work clothes all the time.

It is a peeve of mine when fabric stores do this. It happens at places like JoAnnes on the fat quarters. They should know better. When I worked at a hardware store we used acetone to remove old label goo. IOW nail polish remover or Windex. That's nasty when it's fabric or God forbid paper products.

Calliope: I've seen my DM use nail polish remover long before we discovered Goo Gone. Sometimes the old standbys work best.
