Does anyone know of a way to put a remote control receiver in a ceiling light fixture and have it turn off and on by a remote control switch in a wall switch plate?

In the middle of a remodel we discovered that apparently the dining room light had been operated by a chain pull of some kind as there isn't a wall switch to it. I know we could do the remote if we install a ceiling fan/light combo but this is in the "formal" dining area so we don't really want a ceiling fan there.
