I want to install low voltage lighting over the tops of my cabinets as well as underneath. There is an electrical outlet in the back of one of my overhead cabinets that is used for the microwave. What I would like to do is run the low voltage lights from that box and use a button switch to turn them on and off. Therefore the wires would be hidden but no standard switch. It would require a semi-major renovation to add a standard switch due to tile and other constraints. Would this work?
