Thanks guys, I tried to take a closer up but pictures never seem to show how the colors look in person, glass is sooo hard to capture. The red is much nicer than the pic, the background glass is irridescent so it looks different at night.

Yup, I love the way you used glass that has so much dimension that the glass gives a realism to the flowers!!! Especially the red ones!!!

That is really stunning. It looks like it took a lot of thinking in what goes up front, behind. Did you have a leaf cut & then think of a flower for in front of it & cut the leaf some or did you draw it on paper first.

OMG you guuuuuys! I am totally overwhelmed by your comments! So many wonderfully nice things to say.......THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! I've never really felt that I had a "style" I just plug along like everyone else and hope it turns out ok. Everyone here is MY inspiration! I remember when this forum had hardly any posts, and someone on G Junk complained that there were too many mosaics on that site, so someone from here invited everyone interested in stained glass and mosaics to come over here, all of a sudden this forum just exploded with creativity!! You wouldn't believe how happy that made me, now I could learn from other mosaic people!!! I started small and this window is the biggest thing I've done, and thanks to you guys and this forum I know my projects will only get bigger and better!!!!

Beautiful -- absolutely beautiful! Can someone tell me how you cut the small pieces in the background?

I have a GOG piece started, but I think I'm afraid of it! Seriously, I have almost all the larger pieces cut. I think the next step is to glue the big pieces (I've already got MAC glue). Then I think I'll do small pieces for the background.

Really beautiful. Did you make up the design yourself? I love the colors. How long did it take for you to finish?

The small pieces were long strips then I used my mosaic nippers to cut them into little triangles. The design was something I had in my head, I got the leaf patterns from a book. I couldn't even tell you how long it took, a little bit here and there, but I'll guess at about a month.

Oh MY!!! It's SO bright and beautiful, Squirrely! The dark grout really brings out the colors! Love it!!!
