Outdoor wiring

Hi

I think I broke something.

I was digging in the yard yesterday and, while lifting some sod, got my spade under a cable that runs from the house to the shed.

Thinking it was a root, I yanked up on it and heard a crack. Turns out it was the 1" plastic tube through which the cable to the shed/garage runs. (The garage has its own fusebox and it connected to the breaker panel in the house).

I inspected the 8 inches or so of tube that were exposed but could not see any crack in it. Likely, if there is one it is near where the pipe runs under a slab at the edge of the lawn.

I'm pretty sure the thing must have cracked, because of the sound it made. Do I have a major problem here? Obviously, water is going to find its way in there, possibly freeze in the winter. I doubt the electric cable itself is damaged, though, since I lifted the pipe for, at most, an inch or so.

Am I in danger of imminent electrocution? What's to be done here?
