I was at the stone fabricators today, still searching for remnants for the two fireplace hearths. They had some of our pieces ready for installation. I took some pics with the cell phone so that is why the quality is not so good. Sorry.

Here is the small piece of Blue Eyes that will go on the small counter at the entry to the kitchen. Even with a crummy photo you can still see some of the blue sparkles. This stone comes from Labrador Canada. Probably no one remembers our lay out. This will be part of the cabinets that face the outside door to form an entryway to the house instead of entering right into the kitchen. The other side has the fridge and a dining height end grain cherry butcher block top. The counter will be flanked with cupboards and have mirror and pendant light above. This will be the staging area of the house (mail, keys, boots, chargers for cell phones).

Here is the Hudson Ash soapstone that will be the counter of the red hutch

And, although this is not in the kitchen, here is a piece of honed Gioia Carrara that will be for the master bath vanity.

Any words of wisdom for me for what to watch out for during the installation?
