Last minute range change

At the last minute I am thinking that I want to get a capital precision rangetop with the integrated wok. I originally had planned to keep our exisating freestanding bisque range. The problem is that the granite company is coming to template this morning. Can you remove a range and replace with a rangetop without modification to the granite later on? I know I need to order the cabinet.

Our cabinets are a creamy color with a toasted almond glaze. We are planning to keep all of the other appliances bisque because they look great with our cabinets & are brand new.

I would not do it until I had the range top.

Stop!! I'm no expert, but I can't imagine you can do this. Also, good on ya for going with a Capital.

I had to get the template done because this has been going on far to long. I may just go with the capital range in all stainless instead of the range top.or get the GE Cafe Gas Range. Do you think an all stainless range will look weird as the reminder of the appliances are all bisque. Wall oven, dishwasher, microwave, & Fridge. The bisque blends with the cabinetry.

You need the exact specs for the range top before the granite can be templated accurately. Mistakes in templating translate into $$$$$ fixes later.

If it is freestanding you will *probably be ok but check the specs of the two freestanding you are considering.

I think the range in its own finish will be ok with all the others matching each other.

If you can wait, you will be better off...Otherwise you might be back here asking for advice how to fix the fact that the range doesn't fit right.

Wait, you said you had to get it "done", does that mean it is done already?

Hope it all works out for you without a hitch. You will love the Capital.

Yes, it has already been templated. I think I will probably either just leave the existing bisque range or put in a freestanding GE Cafe Gas Range because it will fit in the same space as the existing. I am just not sure how a SS Range will look with my toasted almond appliances and the existing (new) bisque appliances.

SS would look just fine with your other appliances. People routinely do colored appliances and a SS range. You're compromising a great deal of cooking ability to go with the GE compared to the Capital. Think clearly about that. Long term, I'm sure you'll be much happier with the Capital. You CAN stop the template from being cut to get what you want.

And I guarantee I'll beat you in the "this has dragged on long enough" race. Guarantee.

Get a Bluestar range with a bisque door :)

Breezy I guarantee that you have beat me with the this has dragged on way to long race....although I am living in the midst of this mess and I am about ready to freakout. I did think about the viking with the custom color, but that is alot more money than I want to spend right now. I wasn't suppossed to get new appliances except for the wall oven! But I got a new micro & wall oven. The fridge is only about 6 months old.
