Lisa, am eager to hear the board's thoughts. I am in a nearly exact situation, though my granite is beige.

I was thinking white subway tiles, but am worried that too much white will look cold/industrial. It's possible the extra style of those tiles above would prevent that. Clear(ish) glass is another thought. As is just a dark slate. (PS, to brighten the space, I'm putting under-cab lights, so that I don't have to worry so much about the light.

Kelley4180. I don't think you can go wrong with subways! For whatever reason, I'm drawn to other shapes.

On the lighting, I have under-cabinet lights and a light on the hood and they are great for task lighting, but I don't concern myself much about how the tiles look with those lights on -- they make everything yellowish. I found some pale beige and grey glass tiles that matched the granite perfectly, but just looked washed out in the shadow of the cabinets.

We'll see what folks think. Do you have photos?

Hi Lisa - I just recently put in the Horus Art Tiffany crackle bianco subways. They are really popular on here, but the reason I went with them is that my mother has them in her kitchen and they look gorgeous. She has a galley kitchen with white appliances and bianco romano granite as well. Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there as I know the Horus Art subway go great with the elements you have. I LOVE the beehive shape too! It is classic but still a bit unexpected. That would be my vote hands down. Gorgeous! Love your kitchen too.
