Right now, your furniture arrangement is not oriented toward the FP focal point or the TV. This may appear to be so due to the wide angle warping the picture, because it also looks like the dining table is sitting partly on the hearth. If you could re-shoot without the wide angle and stand at each corner and at each mid wall , we might get a better perspective of how to work with the room. If the TV could align directly in front of the FP your furniture group could logically be placed between the two. Seems there is a door in the way of that happening. Your sofa could provide a visual sense of division between the table and the living area, but the dining end looks crowded for that. Please post better pics for better input.

1. If you COULD put tv above fireplace that would solve your problem I'm pretty sure.
Move the couch so that it's facing fireplace with 2 chairs on each side of it facing each other closer to fireplace.

2. Would you consider moving dining set to the left of front door? I know that seems strange, but the way the room is laid out with the fireplace in center is difficult. Maybe try to move dining table to opposite side of room. Moving console and tv where the large painting is and moving couches and chairs closer to fireplace area. I love your furniture, but maybe you should think about an L-sectional where the back of the couch is facing front door and other back of L is facing the wide opening to the right.

Hopefully some other houzzers can come up with a better solution. Stay tuned, they WILL! :)

I see a MLS in the corner--are you selling or is this the previous owner's furniture?

The fireplace appears to have been tuckpointed recently and the contrast between the mortar and brick is too high. I would recommend staining the mortar to reduce the contrast. I'm sure a lot of people will tell you to paint it. I'm relunctant to do that because once you do, you can't go back and it can be a maintenance hassle.

The top of the mantel looks a bit skimpy and might be better a darker color. The stuff on top is too small for the room and some bold art like you have in the dining room would be nice. The living room area seems a little spread out--maybe have a separate conversation area by the fireplace with the armchairs and create a separate couch-TV area, perhaps one of these delineated with a rug.

With all this dark modern furniture and light rug and walls, it just seems to be floating in space. An accent color on the wall or accessories might be nice too.

Some sort of small divider and place to hang coats by the front door would be nice too.

They should have left out the white chair entirely. You could move table to front like others said. Also, you could maybe move console to behind the sofa and move the sofa in further to the room and have two chairs looking at sofa (side by side). That way there is a whole area at the front door for guests. Possibly put a desk at front window (not sure if there is an office?) Hard to totally see how much space there is...One other thought is get a sectional an have TV over fireplace with the sectional running along where the console wall is now and facing dining table. That would still allow for more roomy entry.
