There is not one single color that does not go with Carrera marble. The color will be way more dependent on your personal style.

I agree with greenhaven. Carrara is elemental.

Carrara goes with just about anything, but it is predominantly grey and looks best with cooler tones, so as a general guide no golds or reddish browns.

I agree definitely cooler tones. I see many in magazines I like but they don't list the paint color. Has anyone used a specific paint color with it you found you loved? There are just too many for me too pick from scratch! :)

Gray cabinets are in right now as an alternative to white.

Why don't you look at Farrow and Ball Skimming Stone,for a light gray, Pavilion Gray for a medium gray and Plummet if you want a dark gray. Their paint is wonderful but propriety. I have their Cornforth White on my kitchen walls. Other large manufacturers come pretty close with matching when given a painted sample. So much depends on lighting.

SparklingWater, thank you so much for posting those colors and links! We're going to use Lyra quartz (looks very, very similar to Carrara) and I knew that I'd be looking for a stain color for our cabinets in short order. I know these are paints but you've given me a great place to start. I love skimming stone. Hopefully you've helped the OP as well.

Her post is a little confusing since most of her pics don't display carrera marble, but I think the color specs are valid.

I used BM Simply White for my cabs with Carrara perimeter and walnut island top. It took me quite a while to find the right white. Many have much too much yellow to go with blue-gray Carrara. BM White Dove and BM Cloud White were awful when paired with my marble sample because they have a yellow tint to warm them up from pure white. On the other hand, BM Chantilly Lace looked much too stark white. Blinding almost. I'm very, very happy with the Simply White, which is just pure white paint with a couple of drops of black in it. It's WHITE without any yellow tint, but somehow it reads a little warm.

Whatever you do, buy sample cans of the color you're considering and paint a large board or paper. Try this board with a sample of your stone in your kitchen in different areas and in different times of day and night. Good luck!

Breezygirl, so thankful I read this as I was going to paint cabinets white dove but will now go with Simply White. My walls are revere pewter and I don't like them when I put my sample marble against it. What white are your kitchen walls and the adjoining living room? Many thanks!

Simply white does have a touch of gold in it, that is why it reads warm.
