How do you get the heavy appliances off the top shelf?

No kidding! The mixer alone weighs a ton! Homeowner must not be a big baker as the bread machine is up there, too. I'm 5'3" and would need a ladder and a strong back. Poor storage space for that, in my beleif.

I love the cabinet and the pull put drawers. However, I was thinking that it would be more ergonomically friendly to put heavy things and frequently used items on middle shelves, with th seldom used and lighter items on the top and lower shelves.

You guys are right, a lot of those bigger kitchen appliances are hard to store. Usually they are shaped weird and they don't stack on top of each other. I think that this is such a great idea. It looks really well organized. http://kraftappliance.net/Products.html
