Not yet...that was the photo for the contract on house. If we go over today I'll try to take a close up of a slab...might need superman to move them though!

Love the look of stone indoors, blue stone is porous and not easy to clean. It's probably feasible to repurpose as counters, but consider how expensive it could be to have each piece cut to fit counters. And if you don't care for the way the edges are cut, that will also be pricey to redo.
Maybe you can use a slab for a fireplace surround and hearth? Last year, I bought 3 smaller pieces of blue stone for my fireplace hearth and it is flat, not raised, to be the same level as my tile floor (I didn't have the space to do a large raised hearth). It was pricey to cut and get these 3 pieces installed properly.

I think the patio idea is the way to go with these blue guys. That way they don't have to be moved too far!

I don't think this material would be suitable for any sort of countertop. It breaks easily and chips off in shales.

It makes a beautiful patio, though, and he's lucky to have it!

Ditto what Shanghaimom said. We have bluestone walkways. It also could work for a sun room or a mudroom. But it stains, flakes, cracks and is fairly uneven.
